Linden Street business harassed by man

In the last few months several downtown businesses and residents have been harassed by a tall, African American male. Most recently, this week at a Linden Street business, he walked in and demanded money. There have apparently been similar incidents happening at other downtown and Shiloh Road businesses. He is not friendly about this and usually gets very verbal with the workers. The Corinth Police Department is currently searching for him, again, because they did not arrest him earlier this week at the Linden Street business.

We have been lead to believe that this is the same man that goes around local downtown homes asking to do yard work. He does yard work for a few minutes then demands half the money. He might finish the job before demanding the rest of the money, but most cases he will demand the money before he gets the work done. A member of our staff has had a personal encounter with what is believed to be the same individual. “He acts like he is on some type of drug,” commented the staffer, “so use caution.”

If you live in or around the downtown area or have a business, please be on the look out for a similar man. If you have any information or have been harassed by this man, please call the City of Corinth Police Department at 662-286-3377.

It happens all around downtown from what we have heard. We know the individual comes into the residential area of downtown wanting work and money. We are just trying to make people aware of the situation.
